3D Cadastre System using the Node-Relation Structure in GIS

چکیده
The foundation for the development of GIS throughout a local government is cadastral GIS applications. The applications need to maintain the cadastral data known as the tax assessment role, to evaluate land values including buildings and physical structures. Because the current 2D Cadastre systems with 3D visualizations (ArcScene) is a framework to support comprehensive land-related information such as land use, buildings, flood hazards, income and population at the parcel level, there are limitations in representing the complex internal structure of the buildings on geometric and thematic dimensions in the 3D entity (room units) level. It may create difficulty to understand and analyze the human behavior in micro-scale environments. This study, therefore, intends to propose a new approach in creating a 3D cadastre using a 3D topological data model based on Node-Relation Structure in order to represent the 3D attribute data integrated with the 3D spatial data (geometric and topological data) of 3D objects in 3D GIS.

3D GIS Applied to Cadastre
2 Summary 2D cadastre systems have shown limitations, especially when describing complex situations to various stakeholders. 3D information models for cadastre are now increasingly implemented to overcome these restrictions. However, 3D systems are not without their challenges and problems to be avoided. The challenges include: guaranteeing topological consistency when building 3D volumes, dete...

In Malaysia, the cadastre system is controlled by two main agencies, namely, Department of Surveying and Mapping Malaysia (DSMM) and Land Offices (L.O). The DSMM is responsible for the cadastral spatial information i.e. land parcel boundaries. The mission is to enhance quality in surveying and mapping services along with managing the geospatial data. On the other hand, Land Office is responsibl...
متن کاملDeveloping a BIM-based Spatial Ontology for Semantic Querying of 3D Property Information
With the growing dominance of complex and multi-level urban structures, current cadastral systems, which are often developed based on 2D representations, are not capable of providing unambiguous spatial information about urban properties. Therefore, the concept of 3D cadastre is proposed to support 3D digital representation of land and properties and facilitate the communication of legal owners...

The general density of the population in central and northern parts of Israel (some 480 inhabitants per square kilometer) is higher then in Germany, Belgium, Japan or the Netherlands. Moreover, during the past decade the population increased from six millions to nine million by 2020, and 13 million in 2050. To enable continued extensive land development, new options need to be found for urban d...
